PLEASE READ OUR TERMS & CONDITIONS AS ONCE PAYMENT IS MADE YOU ARE ACCEPTING THEM.
Once payment for Term fees has been received by Theatre Bugs the following Cancellation Policy applies. Substitution of an alternative day, time and class type can be negotiated with Theatre Bugs (pending availability); however requests for cancellation of the booking cannot be refunded or exchanged once payment has been received by Theatre Bugs unless your request qualifies under the following:
- Student illness (Permanent) -

- Student illness (Temporary) -
Doctor’s certificate required stating the child is unfit to continue for a specified time period. In this instance, a family credit of fees will be applied to be used at Theatre Bugs once the child is well and fit enough to continue. Fees will be credited from the date of which the certificate is received by Theatre Bugs.
- Family emergency/illness -
Doctor’s certificate or other supporting documentation from a professional (school principal, police, Families SA) required. In this instance, a family credit of fees will be applied to be used at Theatre Bugs once the family is in a state to continue. Fees will be credited from the date of which the certificate or documentation is received by Theatre Bugs.
- Moving overseas/ interstate -
Supporting letter of proof from employer or realtor required. In this instance, a refund of fees will be granted from the date of which the certificate is received by Theatre Bugs minus $30 administration fee.
If you qualify for any of the above, please send your refund/exchange request along with your supporting documentation in writing to admin@theatrebugs.com.au or P.O Box 3368 Norwood SA 5067. Your request can only be considered from the date we receive this information and may incur a $30 administration fee.
Theatre Bugs classes are capped at a maximum number of students and payment of term fees confirms your child’s spot in the class. Theatre Bugs reserves the right to refuse a refund of Term fees if your child simply chooses not to attend or you change your mind. You purchased the service of classes from Theatre Bugs. This includes 1 Teacher, 1 venue and classes to be run under the Theatre Bugs program for 1 Term (dates stated on your invoice). We have and will continue to provide this service of which you purchased. We understand your right to make the decision to choose not to persevere with your child’s booking in the same respect that Theatre Bugs has the right to refuse a refund of term fees as previously outlined.
Theatre Bugs acknowledges that in addition to the events described above, a refund or other remedy will be provided in the event that the services provided by Theatre Bugs breach any of the guarantees implied by the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) (‘Act’), and nothing in this cancellation policy attempts to, or has the effect of, limiting your rights under the Act. However, Theatre Bugs is not required to, and will not under any circumstances, provide a refund or any other remedy in the event that you simply have a change of mind in relation to your purchase of the services from Theatre Bugs.
Theatre Bugs offers the opportunity for parents to watch their child’s first ever lesson at Theatre Bugs (whole lesson for pre-schoolers and final 15 minutes of the lesson for classes for 5 years & over). Parents are also given the chance to view performances twice a year, and can view clips of classes on our website; giving parents and students the opportunity to make an informed decision of their purchase. As a professional business Theatre Bugs ensures that customers have access to our cancellation policy via our website (public access) before they make the term commitment.
We reserve the right to cancel a class if numbers registering are low. Once we have taken this decision we will contact you and make a full and immediate refund. All refunds are made from cleared funds.
We do offer up to 2 catch-up lessons for missed classes (excluding holiday progams). These must be taken in the same term as the classes were missed (please note: due to performances all catch-up lessons need to be taken by wk 5 in terms 2 & 4). Due to the one-on-one nature of their classes, Private Singing/Dancing/Drama students are unable to ‘catch-up’ missed lessons. Please contact our office on 8332 1228 if you wish to make changes to your current booking or arrange a catch-up session within our policy.
Photographs and video footage of students may be used for internal training purposes and for promotional publications including, but not limited to: use on the Theatre Bugs website and social media pages, newspapers, brochures, radio and/or television. The images/footage collected may be used by a third party upon agreement by Theatre Bugs for promotional purposes of Theatre Bugs. Theatre Bugs retains these rights over the images/footage in perpetuity and they may be offered to other interested parties. It is the caregiver’s responsibility to contact administration if you do not permit Theatre Bugs to use photographs or video footage of your child.
